India- Experts: Food Safety Act will check adulteration

More than 96,000 cases of food adulteration are pending in various courts in India. At a recent state-level conference of food processing industries, speakers said that adulteration has been rampant in the food products and the Food Standard and Safety Act 2010 would be implemented by January 2011 to check this.
