32 Year Old Basic Food International Plans to Expand Through Acquisitions, Mergers, and PartnershipsProminent Food Executive John Bauer moves forward with expansion plans after 32 years in business with Basic Food International, Inc, a global frozen foods import/export business based in South Florida. With momentum building, ample capital and credit available, and an unblemished reputation and professional recognition, this aggressive businessman wants to work with his competition to increase market share. “We want to build more alliances and affiliations as well as mergers and acquisitions. More so than ever, there is strength in numbers and expertise”, says CEO Bauer who has been the original owner of the frozen food company specializing in seafood, poultry, and meat, since it’s inception in Florida since 1978. As Basic Food International expanded over the years into a multi million dollar enterprise, it continued to gain accolades for its success and sophistication at a time when the industry was just getting its feet wet. Using his business, Bauer always maintained work as a team player. He successfully increased the volume of trade through Florida, spearheaded successful trade missions, worked with Latin American cooperatives to help them define and develop seafood products for export to the U.S., and prepped American producers with food products destined for export. Basic Food International is also the first company in the State to export foods to the Middle East that conform to Islamic food laws, paving the way for others to follow. Bauer wants to acquire and work with other similarly situated food businesses while building new alliances and relationships that can benefit from his international and national activities in addition to his long experience in the food industry. “Globalization presents new circumstances and unique opportunities for expansion, especially in the food industry”, says Bauer.
